Officers were called to 416 N. Pierce to individuals breaking into cars. One
subject has been taken into custody. Officers are currently looking for a second
suspect described as a heavy set black male wearing a hat with yellow trim and black
jacket. Shots were fired, University at H street has been closed and there are now
reports of and officer involved shooting with the suspect down. UPDATE The suspect shot by an officer during this mornings officer involved shooting has
died as a result of his injuries. The identity of both suspects is known however we
are not releasing their names nor the name of the officer involved in the shooting.
